I liked the very stylish decor. I liked the huge shower - you could fit about 10 people in the shower!!😄. It was well equipped with a fan for hot weather, and an extra heater for cold weather. It was nice and warm in the room. It had a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and a big TV. The shower gel/shampoo smelled divine! The rooms was big, compared to other chain hotels. The bed was comfy. The window opened for fresh air if needed. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good, and in their beautiful restaurant. The value for money was excellent too. Check out was at 11am, which was better than a lot of other places. There is parking at the back, if needed. Plenty of electric sockets in the room for charging, straighteners, etc. This was our second time at the Cairn Hotel, and we would definitely return.

We were situated in the hotel opposite from the main hotel, the staff in the main hotel were lovely however we only saw one member of staff in the one we were in and we did not need to speak with them, limited parking so we had to move our car so others could get out, the room was nice but could have been cleaner, a light looked like it had been ripped off the wall and the second shower head was hanging off the wall in the bathroom, the fridge was very hard to open so maybe it could be attached to the unit they are in? As it did come flying out at me. All in all for the price it was very good so we would stay again. There is a lovely little bakery near the entrance to the car park called pink lane bakery so I would recommend paying them a visit and the Waitrose is very handy.

Location, staff, restaurants downstairs on both sites. Despite being split across two buildings, they are quite close to each other; breakfast was in a different building to the one we stayed in but we had no problem popping across each morning. The lady at the desk - whose name we didn’t get, but who kindly chatted with us for a little while! - was extremely kind, and found us an empty room on the first floor after apologising for not having a lift, so that there would be less stairs for us. Lovely little establishment and the area is fabulous. :)

What can I say about our good friends over at The Cairn Hotel, Jesmond. Stayed that many times now I'm not sure which visit I am reviewing here but they are all as good as the last..... Decent, varied rooms. Excellent location for visiting the vibrant Jesmond village. Quirky quirks with different buildings (you never know where you'll end up). Playing a strange sort of game of tertis with the multiple car parks. Attentive night porters for helping out the casual drunks. We always have a great time.

The hotel looks great and certainly has kerb appeal. The room was somewhat different than other chain hotels, a little quirky but entirely satisfactory. The bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep. Rainfall shower was great. The breakfast was buffet style and had everything I expected, I was even provided with a proper pot of tea. Parking is available at the back of the hotel but is a little limited. Value for money was spot on.
